Staff’s Pick of the Month

An open book.

Choosing your next read can be tough, so we ask Awen Libraries staff to recommend a book every month to help you pick yours.

This month, we asked Vicky and Ffion what books have inspired them the most.

Vicky said: “I can’t pick a favourite book, but the book that made the most impact on me and my love of books was probably Frankenstein. Nature vs Nurture. What good could the Monster have done if Frankenstein hadn’t abandoned him?”.

Ffion said: “The last book I read, and one that I recommend to my fellow Fiction readers is A Girl Made Of Air, by Nydia Hetherington. It is a magical, beautiful and fascinating tale. I was hooked as soon as I read the first few chapters”.
